Jesse Dean Cook. Discovering West Vancouver's Most Glamorous Properties.

West Vancouver Yacht Club

Founded in 1945, The West Vancouver Yacht Club (WVYC) is nestled at the south-western tip of West Vancouver in beautiful Fishermans Cove.

The WVYC now has around 700 members and encompass juniors, intermediates, active and associates as well as seniors and social members. The WVYC has a truly wonderful community feel and holds many corporate events as well as weddings.

The WVYC is very well known for its top notch racing programs as yachts in all sizes and skill levels can race year round.  The location of the WVYC is such that wind is never generally an issue making it the most sought after location to moor in Metro Vancouver for any serious racer.

The highlights of the racing year are the Southern Straits Classic and the Pumpkin Bowl Regatta. These signature events attract competition from all around the Pacific northwest.

If you have always wanted to learn to sail now is the perfect time of year to cross that wish off of your list. Boating around Vancouver and the Gulf Islands is world renowned and I highly recommend taking advantage of this.
