Lighthouse Park is a very popular park in West Vancouver due to its rugged hiking trails and unmatched sunsets. The area is approximately 185 acres and almost fully enveloped by rainforest.
The iconic Lighthouse at the southernmost tip of Point Atkinson was built in 1875 and protrudes right into the Burrard Inlet. Point Atkinson was discovered and named by Captain George Vancouver in 1792, and has since been included as a National Historic Site of Canada.
If you and your family are looking for a great hike and want to feel as though as you are as far away from the hustle and bustle of the city as possible, this is a great spot. Wear proper footwear and you can access the park from Beacon Lane off of Marine Drive.
