Canucks 'Rock the Rog' winner....Amanda Wood!

Meghan Nichol, 'Rock the Rog' winner Amanda Wood and her husband Jesse Dean Cook

After thousands of contestants entered for a chance to sing the Canadian and US anthems at an upcoming Vancouver Canucks game, the Top 20 were announced. After over a week of fan voting online, the Top 10 went to Rogers Arena last night in front of a celebrity panel of judges to sing both anthems.

West Vancouver resident Amanda Wood took home the crown and will be singing at an upcoming Canucks game this season! Not sure on the game at present but will be sure to let everyone know. This has capped off a busy summer of events such as the TD Vancouver Internations Jazz Festival, Harmony Arts Festival, Jazz Waves at the Silk Purse, tons of corporate and private events as well as the Coho Festival this past Sunday.

Be sure to check out Amanda's website at for upcoming gigs as well as her new studio album (recorded at Capital Records in LA) will be released in the next 30 days and you'll be able to purchase it online.

Congrats to Amanda and Go Canucks Go!

Best regards,

Jesse Dean Cook
