Jesse Dean Cook. Discovering West Vancouver's Most Glamorous Properties.

Today is the day that every kid and kid at heart has been waiting for...the Grand re-opening of John Lawson Park's Playground. This has been under construction throughout the summer and looks nothing like the photo above so you will have to see for yourself what this amazing kids heaven looks like.

The artist rendering of the fully transformed park is below and at 2:00pm today (September 27th) there will be speeches, ribbon cutting and most important, cake.

Located at the very south end of the 17th Street you will find ample free 4 hour parking...another benefit of living in West Van (who likes paying for parking?).

Enjoy the new park and have a great weekend.

Best regards,

Jesse Dean Cook

There has never been a better time for mens fashion than there is today. Christine Baracos and Bobbie Long of West Vancouver's Baracos + Brand are at the forefront of the newest styles as we head into Fall/Winter.

If your suit collection is looking tired, or they are simply off-the-rack without tailoring and don't look as good as a suit should on you, do yourself a favor and book a 20 minute appointment at the "Suit Up Pop Up" Event on Wednesday October 2nd. The event takes place from 7am-5pm and breakfast/lunch/refreshments will be served throughout the day.

Book your appointment now as slots are filing up...call (604) 925-1812 or email info@baracosandbrand.com. (http://baracosandbrand.com/)

If you are like most guys you hate shopping...especially for suits. You kind of know how they should fit, sort of know how to put together accesories (pocket square, shirt, tie, cuff links, socks, shoes, belt....) but the thought of that stresses you out. Christine and Bobbie will help you find the perfect off-the-rack suit starting at $399 and tailor to your body. Or, if you have an athletic build (large legs and seat) your best bet will be to opt for a made-to-measure suit starting at only $795 (or 2 for $750 each, 3 for $700 each). These suits will fit like a glove whether you use them everyday for work, or special events such as conferences/weddings etc...

There are upgrades available (Zegna fabric suits) that are a bit more expensive as well as fully customizing your entire suit. Many upgrades such as inner lining (bright color, polka dot etc...) are included as are color of buttons, cut in the back etc...

We have all had our share of bad suits, but once you have one custom made for you....you'll never go back and wonder how you didn't do this in the past.

Look your best this Fall/Winter (and into the New Year) and start off by booking your appointment now.

I'll see you there and have a great weekend.

Best regards,

Jesse Dean Cook

We might not look like Becks but at least we can dress as good as him.

The weather is going to be fantastic this Friday and for only $20 you will have a chance to sample items from all of the wonderful retailers and restaurants in Dundarave.

This is a fabulous event that really brings the community together and raises money for the BCSPCA and Canuck Place. The value is supurb and you will finally have a chance to explore some of the shops or eateries that you perhaps have always meant to drop by but never have been able to in the past.

Tickets can be ordered from the West Vancouver Chamber of Commerce (or outlets on the above flyer) but hurry as this will most likely sell out again as it did in 2012. See you there from 5pm-8pm.

Meghan Nichol, 'Rock the Rog' winner Amanda Wood and her husband Jesse Dean Cook

After thousands of contestants entered for a chance to sing the Canadian and US anthems at an upcoming Vancouver Canucks game, the Top 20 were announced. After over a week of fan voting online, the Top 10 went to Rogers Arena last night in front of a celebrity panel of judges to sing both anthems.

West Vancouver resident Amanda Wood took home the crown and will be singing at an upcoming Canucks game this season! Not sure on the game at present but will be sure to let everyone know. This has capped off a busy summer of events such as the TD Vancouver Internations Jazz Festival, Harmony Arts Festival, Jazz Waves at the Silk Purse, tons of corporate and private events as well as the Coho Festival this past Sunday.

Be sure to check out Amanda's website at www.amandawood.com for upcoming gigs as well as her new studio album (recorded at Capital Records in LA) will be released in the next 30 days and you'll be able to purchase it online.

Congrats to Amanda and Go Canucks Go!
